COVID-19 tracker Corona Kavach, has been released by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and it is in association with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHFW).
The purpose of app , is to use a person’s smartphone data to track the location of users and alert them if there is any risk of being exposed to the corona virus.
The Corona Kavach app will help to track carriers of Coronavirus and ultimately control its spread. User is required to answer a couple of questions and on basis of that it will mark you as All Good, See a Doctor, Quarantine, and Infected. Subsequently, when ever you are out then , you need to enable the app and based on your location it will alert you if you are in the nearby to another person who is infected or is having high risk. This way, you can avoid such area and remain safe from getting infected
The app is only available for Android right now but is in beta version so not visible to all at the moment.
