Ministry of AYUSH invites scientific proposals for alternative therapies to fight coronavirus
The ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy or AYUSH, has decided to invite scientific proposals on therapies and procedures that could restrain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic using the Indian system of medicines.
The ministry has invited inputs from AYUSH practitioners and AYUSH institutions.
The AYUSH Ministry on 31st March informed that it is initiating action on the PM advice to work in direction of scientific evidence-based solutions. It has decided to set up a channel to invite and review the suggestions and proposals from the AYUSH practitioners and institutions, and then critically and scientifically examine their viability through a team of scientists.
