To applauded the work done by hospital staff in fighting the pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up a nurse Chhaya Jagtap. She works at the civic-run Naidu Hospital in Pune, which has been treating the coronavirus patients. She  received the call from the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday evening.

The audio recording of the conversation between them has got  viral on social media.

Modi initiated the conversation in Marathi and enquired about her well being and asked how she was addressing her family’s fears for her  own safety, while she is serving the patients .

she said “Yes, I am concerned about my family, but one has to work. We have to serve patients in this situation. I am managing,” .

She shared that the staff always try to boost  morale of the patients . The Prime Minister went on to ask her if patients who are admitted in the hospital got scared. “We try and speak to them. We tell them not to get scared and assure them that that nothing is going to happen to them and that their reports will come negative”
