Why protein is important in PCOS

Protein helps stabilize blood sugar. Blood sugar that see-saws up and down makes you feel cranky, lead to cravings, bingeing. Protein is also important for proper function of the adrenal glands and ovaries, the adrenals produce testosterone and cortisol. So getting the adrenals to function properly is key to reducing testosterone levels and improving PCOS symptoms. e.g of good protein- Chicken breast, eggs, paneer, tofu, soya products and nuts.
