Introduction

Ghee is enriched with nutritional values that most of us unaware. It also enhances the flavour of food. Many of you always want to lose weight. Indian diet is always a blessing for the weight loss program that most of you probably don’t know.

Why And How To Add Ghee in Your Meal

You should take your breakfast before 20-30 minutes the first meal which you are abiding by from the 1st week. You may add extra tsp it with your lunch menu and can add this extra ghee when you feel that you crave for sweet and you are operating on 50% potential. However, you can add extra tsp of it with your dinner meal when you feel that you are suffering from constipation. You know what? Sleep disorder improves by consuming it. It also improves from Irritable bowel syndrome and digestion difficulties. Especially in winter, you can take makhanas (roasted ghee) around the afternoon tea time like around four o’clock. Thus you will be benefitted into two ways: skin glow and joints supple. Again, taking Jaggery and it before supper or lunch will help you from the suffering of fatigue, premenstrual syndrome, and low Hemoglobin level.

Ghee has the following  distinct advantages which no other oil is having:

  • It helps to increase the immunity as it has antibacterial as well as antiviral properties. So it does not just help in recovering from sickness,  but it provides you immunity to ensure that you don’t fall sick.
  • The anti-oxidants in it provides the miraculous anti-ageing and anti-wrinkling power which we all are always searching for.
  • It is lubricated and oxygenates the joints so is considered excellent for joint health also.
  • Ghee takes out the nutrients from the food consumed by you and delivers these via fat permeable membranes like in the brain.

Myths about Ghee

Myth 1: It is bad for fat loss
Fact : Ghee being lipolytic, actually breaks down the fa and even the stubborn fat. This is mainly due to its unique short-chain fatty acid structure.

Myth 2: It is saturated fat so should be avoided-
It’s a saturated fat but with it has a unique structure as explained above and therefore it helps to mobilize fats from stubborn fat areas of the body. It is definitely not a saturated fat like trans-fats in your biscuits, cakes, pizza, etc and should not be confused with such a fat.

Myth 3 :Ghee increases cholesterol levels-
It actually reduces cholesterol by increasing the contribution of lipids towards metabolism. Liver produces excess cholesterol under stress. It helps you de-stress, sleep better and wake up fresher. So eat ghee to lower the cholesterol.

Myth 4 : Ghee is harmful for heart
Since it ghee can help to keep your cholesterol levels in control so it us actually good for heart. More over being rich in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) , antioxidants, and also fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E, Ghee provides you all that is needed for a healthy heart.

Myth 5 :Ghee is good, but eat is very small proportions –
Traditionally we used to add Ghee in each meal and that was actually good for our health. The right quantity is the quantity  at which the taste of food is best as per your own tongue and stomach .

Some Important Notes On Ghee

One can cook meals with ghee instead of oil which will bring no health effect as according to Rujuta Diweker. You can rely on superstore soled ghee. However, always be sure whether it is made from native cow milk. Ghee from buffalo milk is also very effective and even better than esteemed brands. Its fatty acid structure is always beneficial for the body. So you can pour it on the top of your non-veg food along with your other meals if you like.
